In the year 2020, the earth was in constant friction against one country to the next. The United States economy was crumbling, the United Nations was no longer, and China was ever growing in assets and authority. Japan was dieing a slow and painful death due to over-population and Canada didn’t exist anymore, thanks to a nuclear attack from The People’s Republic of China. Religions continued to snap at each other’s necks while rulers of countries bickered among themselves. Meanwhile, Europe was ripped in half. Riots began to the countries were in flames. Even the Leaning Tower of Pisa didn’t exist anymore it had long since been burned asunder. Missiles disarmed the Statue of Liberty, and New York was on the brink of a break down. Nothing in the world was good.
N.A.S.A [National Aeronautics and Space Administration] discovered something incredible from their satellites that combed through the earth’s exterior searching for bombs, nuclear weapons, and oncoming rival forces. The Galileo, the most advanced satellite the world had ever seen had picked up faint traces of nuclear activity in the never-ending winter land of Siberia, Russia. The United States of America became suddenly Closter-phobic with a feeling of being cramped in by its enemies.
William T. Harum, the president of the United States was useless and Congress was obsolete. The white cloud smokes wisped over the skies as the U.S. Hawkeye Jets skimmed the skies in large numbers with at least a half a dozen strong, suspended over the Siberia and scanning the surface, no camps, no buildings, just vast endless snow and permafrost. The Hawkeye’s sputtered with the cold, trying to keep their propellers beating but Siberia proved to strong for the six Hawkeye jet planes. Their wings were iced and heavy and the gasoline was frozen solid. The great streaks of fire burned as all six planes smashed in to the Siberia. The fire was when it all began.
No one could survive such immense heat the planes gave off as they burned, their flames licking the sky and even if someone had they wouldn’t endure in the infinite pallid tundra for more then a day and a half. Do to the sudden heat of the planes it set off a chemical reaction deep within the earth. You see, back in the early 1900s when Nuclear energy was first discovered Russia discarded the waste in metal barrels deep within the non-populated Siberia. This solved their problems for only so long.
The chemical fumes began to rise in the air as the fires began to die and a yellow hint began to cloud the sky and clouds. Within days, the stars could no longer be seen at night and no one could survive the air there it was much too lethal.
Don’t you see? Fumes do not stop, they continue to progress in to the biggest country in the world, Russia. The fumes eliminated Russia but also the toxic waste that broke the surface began to pollute the waters and land. Crops didn’t grow and the animals began to die. Within a few weeks, Russia was no longer. Only scarce small bands of people struggled and remained. The fumes and contamination continued and began to eliminate China, Europe, Japan, Taiwan, and Africa. Well, this was only the beginning.
The fumes leaked in to the atmosphere and spread and many of the United States began to die off in large numbers. Bodies laid dead out over the streets but there was not enough room in the polluted earth to bury them. So the dead were left to rot. The streets looked like an abandoned market, dusty lockets, faded photographs, glassware, and other such tools lay scattered amongst the dead bodies. And the earth wept, like tears of wax the rain fell.
Eventually, every country was heavily polluted. Only one or two groups of people in numbers of about one hundred remained on each country. Although the humans had a perfect lifestyle before and now it was all taken away from them? Their bodies were dependant on the clean, abundant air and nearly ten years later the last remained souls passed away. Years passed, the rotting corpses turned to bones and the bones turned to dirt and ash. The streets of cities were tore apart and were covered by moss and grass. Trees grew up from ceilings and soon Lady Nature began to shake itself clean of toxins and humans. The streams began to run clean again, the air was clear and the stars could be seen. Every last trace of the toxins was aloof. The land grew green again and the animal populations heightened to superb numbers. The humans had sealed their own fate from the second they laid their eyes upon this planet they didn’t belong here anymore. The year is now 3566 and it is the wolves that are the ultimate predator in the lands of Seshida.
